1-1 TCO Mentoring

This is a 6-month 1-1 online mentoring programme for existing TCOs.

Following an initial 1-1 Zoom call with one of our qualified TCO Mentors, timely individual support is provided through unlimited email and Whatsapp services.  The TCO will be given access to our series of recorded webinars to help them gain the knowledge and skills to deliver an ethical TCO service in their practice.

The TCO will also be invited to our live monthly Zoom study group where they can ask questions and network with other TCOs.

15 hours verifiable CPD

The 1-1 TCO Mentoring Programme consists of:

1. TCO Skill Scan and 1-1 Zoom Mentoring session:
   1. Complete our TCO Skills Scan.
      1. First, decide exactly which tasks your TCO will deliver in the Patient Journey. Simply tick the box for the tasks you want delivered.  (If you have any additional tasks not listed, please get in touch and we should be able to add them to the training programme).
      2. Next, evaluate your TCO’s prior experience against this list. This step identifies gaps in knowledge and experience which will form the basis of your TCO’s Professional Training Plan (PTP). For instance, if they have already worked in surgery, then they will not need training in cross-infection control or patient confidentiality.  Perhaps they have been working as an Invisalign Assistant, so will already have a good knowledge of the Invisalign product.  They may not have any experience of DISC Personality Profiling, though, so study of this system will be entered into the PTP.
   2. The Survey is reviewed on a Zoom call with our Expert Mentor who will also guide you to the relevant resources available on our OneFile online learning platform.

2. Research: your TCO will work through the Research tasks identified in their PTP.  These tasks will include accessing appropriate videos on www.alignertco.com, articles and web-based research.  The TCO uses a Learning Journal to record their reflections on each task.  Mentoring support is provided via email and Whatsapp services to answer any questions or provide guidance.

3. Networking: your TCO is invited to participate in a monthly Zoom study group where they can meet other TCOs, ask questions and gain support from their peers.

1. There is no formal Assessment for this programme. TCOs will receive a certificate for 15 hours of verifiable CPD at the end of month 6.
2. It will be possible to purchase a further 4 months of support along with a formal Assessment of performance when the 1-1 TCO Mentoring programme is complete. Please contact us for details.
